Seed for the Soul
"While
the earth remaineth,
Seedtime and harvest
....shall not cease"
Genesis
8:22
Aren't there times, especially when it gets dark that we really...
"Need a Light?"
The Bible says that there is a place that there is NO DARKNESS AT ALL.
I John 1:5 LB says...
"This is the message God has given us to pass on to you: that God is Light and in Him is no darkness at all."
God has a plan whereby we NEVER need be in darkness. He has given His Son, the Light, for us. He has provided His Word in which we can STAND and SEE. He tells us that His Word is a lamp unto our feet.. a lamp that lights up our surroundings, so we can see EXACTLY where we are and what we are doing. His Word is also a light unto our path. A light, like a flashlight, that we can shine up ahead to see where we are going. We have no reason to be walking in darkness, unless we are not familiar with the Word and the Light, Jesus.
Psalms 119:105 KJ tells us... (Emphasis in verses mine)
"Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path."
And, John 1:1,4,5 KJ declares...
"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God."
"In Him was life; and the life was the light of men."
"And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not."
Jesus said...in John 8:12 KJ ...
"I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall NOT walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life."
And lastly, John 1:14, speaking of Jesus, states...
"And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth."
There is only ONE WAY to come out of darkness, and there is only ONE WAY
for those who are stumbling to get on the right path again. Open the Word
and your heart. Yes, you need THE LIGHT!
Se'lah...Just pause and think about that!
