Faith-bearing Seed for the Soul
"While the earth remaineth,
Seedtime and harvest
....shall not cease"

Genesis 8:22

Two Little Life-changing Words!

If in two words, someone could tell you what to do that would completely change your life for the better, think you would do it?

These two words can change the weak into powerful...   Will give you a sound mind, and eliminate torment, especially of death.   Help you love everyone more, even your enemies...   And more of the Kingdom of God will open up to you.

From Genesis to Revelation the Lord has told His children these two words... FEAR NOT!

Genesis 15:1LB

...Jehovah spoke to Abram in a vision, and this is what he told him: "Don't be fearful, Abram, for I will defend you. And I will give you great blessings."

Revelation 1:17LB

When I saw Him, I fell at His feet as dead; but he laid his right hand on me and said, "Don't be afraid! Though I am the First and Last, the Living One who died, who is now alive forevermore, who has the keys of hell and death--don't be afraid!"

Fear nullifies the promise(s) that follow His rebuke to, "Fear not!" For example:   If I am to have the POWER, LOVE and a SOUND MIND that comes from the opposite of fearing as recorded in this next verse, I MUST NOT FEAR!

II Timothy 1:7-10 KJ

For GOD hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. (Emphasis mine)

When we allow fear to continually control us, we open ourselves up to a "spirit" of fear, resulting in our becoming fearful of more and more situations.

Since this fear is a spirit...you can bind it and cast it from yourself, or ask someone else to pray for you. But I've found that it is one of the devil's greatest weapons against believers and he uses it constantly. So, I recommend that we learn to deal with fear the moment we see it surface in our lives and rebuke, bind and cast it from ourselves...stand firm, submit ourselves to God, and resist the devil, as we are advised in James 4:7.

The way to overcome fear is to totally and completely surrender every part of yourself to the love of the Lord...let Him fill every crack and crevice of your being. When we fear, it is because we are doubting His love and care.

I John 4:18 LB

We need have no fear of someone who loves us perfectly; his perfect love for us eliminates all dread of what he might do to us. If we are afraid, it is for fear of what he might do to us, and shows that we are not fully convinced that he really loves us.

Why it is necessary to repent when we fear is...we are acting like He can't be trusted and that He doesn't love us enough to take care of us. If I have allowed fear to get hold of me for any length of time, I always pray, asking the Lord to forgive me for fearing.

Luke 12:32

FEAR NOT, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom. (Emphasis mine)

Se'lah...just pause and think about that!
