Know Where Your Keys Are!

Once I was pounding on the doors of heaven in prayer..."Lord, please, please open the doors of ministry for me!" I pleaded. I heard a whispering voice reply, "Unlock the door...please unlock the door!" Then in a vision, I saw some doors in heaven marked...

Provision.....Health.....Ministry.....Salvation.....Holy Spirit

As I looked closer, I saw pad locks on each of the doors. I realized it was the Lord telling ME to unlock the door to ministry. The locks were on MY SIDE. But, I didn't know how! I asked Him to show me, and He did!

James 1:5 NIV

If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him.

Right before the Lord spoke the following Rhema words in Matthew 16:19 to Peter, He had told Peter that His Father in heaven had personally revealed to him that He was the Messiah, the Son of the living God. A "Rhema Word" is one that is spoken directly to us by the Lord....it's the TRUTH that He wants to reveal to us personally. Here's the Rhema word He spoke to my heart...

Matthew 16:19 LB

"And I will give you the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven; whatever doors you lock on earth shall be locked in heaven; and whatever doors you open on earth shall be open in heaven!"

"But, Lord! Which key...which key will open the door I'm knocking on?" I asked. I've discovered that the keys are found in His Word...all I had to do was ask Him to show me, and the verses seemed to leap off the pages to me. I was immediately shown verses like..."Study to show thyself approved unto God." "He rose up early and prayed..." If I wanted to minister, He was saying that I needed to be disciplined far beyond what I was at that time. After I began getting up at 5:00 A.M. to spend time in Bible study and prayer, so many opportunities to minister opened that I had a hard time choosing which to do.

The Lord has to give us the knowledge (keys), and conviction, to make the changes in our lives that are needed before some doors can be opened...He warned that sometimes others, even the experts, cannot do His job...

Luke 11:52

Woe to you experts in the law, because you have taken away the key to knowledge. You yourselves have not entered, and you have hindered those who were entering.

Revelation 3:7

These are the words of Him who is holy and true, who holds the key of David. What He opens, no one can shut; and what He shuts, no one can open.

Jesus is in heaven wanting to pour out the treasures that He ALREADY has purchased and stored up for us. All He is asking is that we remove whatever is holding His supply back...He is saying, "UNLOCK THE DOORS, YOU HAVE THE KEYS, so the doors of My Kingdom can fly open to you with My blessings!" Se'lah!
