the earth remaineth,
Seedtime and harvest

Genesis

Wanna' See My Scars?
THE TRUTH IS...nobody wants to see your scars! Nor do they want to constantly hear about what caused them! Yes, there is a time for compassion and comfort, but that is when we are hurting and undergoing a present pain.
A scar can be a reminder of a hurt...or a SIGN that healing has taken place, depending on how you look at it. When it becomes a reminder of a past hurt, each time we look at it we feel the pain all over again, just as if the hurt were still there. It's time to quit looking at all the hurts of the past and realize that with Christ, we are healed. We need to be grateful for all the healing that has taken place and quit admiring our "scars" as trophies of our hurts. In other words, thank God for the healing, forget the suffering, quit living in the past, lay aside resentment and bitterness, and move on in gratitude to Him...
Philippians 3:13
No, dear brothers, I am still not all I should be but I am bringing all my energies to bear on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, I strain to reach the end of the race and receive the prize for which God is calling us up to heaven because of what Christ Jesus did for us.
Lord God. . .
many of us have been hurt, lied to, deceived, cheated on, set aside, taken advantage of, disregarded, ignored, used and abused in the past. But, by Your grace, you have comforted and healed us. We carry MANY scars in our hearts and spirits. Help us to not dwell on these past hurts, and when we come face to face with them again, help us to THANK YOU for the healing and move on to greater heights in YOU.
Amen
Planted and rooted in Him,
Marlene
