Seed for the Soul
"While
the earth remaineth,
Seedtime and harvest
....shall not cease"
Genesis

Don't panic!
We are hearing that in some parts of the country people are in a last minute panic in preparation for Y2K. As I told the checkout clerk at the grocery store today...we live like Y2K could come any day at our house, and if there are shortages, we'll have to trust the Lord to meet them like He continually does every day for us. I'm aware that God had Joseph prepare and store up for the famine before it arrived, and if He's told you to store, by all means, do it...but not out of panic! I received this email today:
To PrayerVine...I love your site!
Please include me in anything possible. I am in desperate need to get right with the Lord. I've been lazy :( I have left my 1st love, and need Him back in my life. As the supermarket goers scramble for the last bottle of water, I scramble for the word that can only keep me going in time of need. (actually left my entire shopping cart in Shop Rite today). The people are panicking. Would they be so scurried if they believed Jesus was coming back again??? I am trying to get back on target! Thanks for your prayers, and the word. Debbie
Debbie has made a wise decision...to turn to the One who gives us refuge and strength in the time of any trouble. He's proven Himself... He'll be there for all who call upon His name... He'll be there to meet every need, whether for a Y2K disaster or for living our normal every day lives.
PSALM 46:1-2
"GOD IS OUR REFUGE AND STRENGTH, A TESTED HELP IN TIMES OF TROUBLE. AND SO WE NEED NOT FEAR EVEN IF THE WORLD BLOWS UP AND THE MOUNTAINS CRUMBLE INTO THE SEA."
Selah...pause and think about that.
