Faith-bearing Seed for the Soul
"While the earth remaineth,
Seedtime and harvest
....shall not cease"

Genesis 8:22

Hungry, Thirsty, Homeless and Lonely?

One day while I was grocery shopping a lady asked me if I could please direct her to where the bread was located. She must have thought I worked there. I paused for a moment and before I knew what was happening these words came flooding out of me:

"I'm sorry... I'm not sure, but I CAN tell you how to find the Bread of Life."

Her eyes opened wide, and she replied, "Honey, what ARE you talking about? Is that a new brand you are selling?" Well, don't you know, I told her...right there in the isle along side of the coffee products, all about Jesus being the Bread of Life and how He died for her sins!  And, she received Him into her heart and life. Like the woman at the well, who was thirsting for Whom and how to worship...and was trying to satisfy that thirst with husbands, she discovered her REAL HUSBAND JESUS and thirst no more, this lady in the grocery store, while searching for bread to satisfy her earthly hunger, found the Bread of Life, Jesus, and her soul will not hunger any more, as she devours His Word daily.

John 6:35 (Emphasis mine)

Then Jesus declared, "I am the bread of life. He who comes to me will never go hungry, And he who believes in me will never be thirsty."

When we do not come to Him, our souls will get extremely hungry. It is a wonderful thing to fill up and be satisfied through His Word. Jesus Himself said that man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God. Also, it is very  difficult to get spiritually thirsty when a river of life is flowing out from you, isn't it? It's only when that river is damned up that we become thirsty. To "believe in" someone means to be together in agreement as one...to trust in, cling to, rely upon and live our life for them. To be in Him as He is in you...The thirst only returns when we begin trusting in, clinging to, and relying on other than Him.

Those who come to Him and believe in Him will have everlasting life and will never be homeless or lonely again...

John 14:1-3

Let not your heart be troubled: you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that were I am, there you may be also.

If you feel hungry, thirsty, homeless or lonely, pray this prayer:

"Lord Jesus, I feel empty. I've searched and searched and I've not found anything to satisfy me. I need for You to fill the emptiness in my life. I come to You now and ask You to forgive me of all of my sins so that You can come and abide within me. Open up Your Word to me and feed me. Fill me with Yourself. Come into my heart and life so that I may know You now, and so  that I may spend eternity with You in heaven, never to be homeless or lonely again. I accept You as my Lord and Savior and thank You for giving Your life on the cross for me. I am thanking You now, Lord, for saving my soul, for it is in Jesus' name I pray. Amen"
