Victory comes to DOERS of the Word!

As a Bible teacher, I can know a lot of God's Word, but if I don't apply it to my own life, all the knowledge I have can become fruitless. I've been going through one of the worse times of my life...For the first time in a long while I went to bed last night angry, and I know that God's Word says to not let the sun go down on our wrath. What was the result of this? I encouraged demonic activity to surround me. Someone kept knocking on the door in the middle of the night and when I went to look, no one was there...the dogs barked ferociously at something on and off all night. My dreams were terrifying. A spirit of fear was trying to overtake me.

I finally realized that I had to have permitted this kind of  demonic activity by something I had done or said. God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of love, power and a sound mind. (2 Timothy 1:7) I had thought some very unloving thoughts earlier, due to being greatly disappointment in a person's integrity. I had judged, counting them deceitful in many of their ways. None of this is acting in love. This morning I have repented of my unloving actions, and I just finished going through the house rebuking those spirits, commanding every evil spirit I had invited into my home through my actions to depart...The spirit of fear cannot dwell where there is love. Perfect love casts out all fear.

(I John 4:18)

Many of us are going through severe testing and trying right now...but be assured, as we obey His Word...as we are DOERS of His Word, and not hearers only, we will overcome all evil... we can resist the devil and he will have to flee...(James 4:7)

His love prevails! God is love and He works ALL THINGS out for good for those of us that love Him (Romans 8:28)...He is in our midst purging and perfecting us unto Himself as a peculiar people zealous of good works, as He said He would do in Titus.

As I've reminded myself, let me remind you, we need to praise Him in the midst of the storms...as we lift our arms in praise, like the eagle that anticipates the coming winds lifts its wings, we will ride on top of the winds of adversity and they will glide us closer to Him...

Lord, let us mount up with wings as eagles...let us run and not become weary...Let us know that in our weakness, You are strong, and help us to exchange our weakness for Your strength to see us through, in Jesus' name I ask...Amen
