Casting Cares

"Casting all your care upon Him;
for He careth for you." I Peter 5:7

Too often, too many of us give our cares to the Lord just like an impatient fisherman might. We "cast" them upon Him like casting a lure on the water, expecting instant results. And when they don't come immediately, we reel in our cares like we reel in an unfruitful fishing lure, taking our cares back upon ourselves. We do this over and over and go home wondering why we didn't have any "luck."

What we need to do is to "fling" our cares upon Jesus, the Living Water, with NO STRINGS ATTACHED and wait faithfully for Him to bring it to pass.

Romans 8:25 NLT
But if we look forward to something we don't have yet, we must wait patiently and confidently.
