I've found that the most effective way to pray is to let my requests be made known to God and to allow God to work them out in His own creative way. When I pray, "Lord, I don't know HOW You can do it, I just know that you can and will," it seems that those prayers get such immediate answers.

A while back I lost a diamond out of my wedding set...I asked for prayer to find it...I didn't find it. The other day I was cleaning out the car and still watching for it, still thinking I'd find it and telling the Lord I was expecting Him to answer our prayers. Then the thought came to me to just give the lost stone over to Him and allow Him to handle it in His own unique way...So I prayed the above prayer...That night my daughter told me that she has a stone that she thought would fit the empty space. How special to have one of her stones in my wedding set...I know that the Lord blessed me with a unique answer to my missing diamond prayer. I'm convinced that God has "diamonds" for each of us... answers to our prayers in ways we never dreamed of, if we will  just allow Him to be God and do it His own way...
