We are Overcomers, too!

"In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer;

I have overcome the world." John 16:33

Jesus had just told the disciples that they would soon be

scattered and seemingly alone...tribulation was evident...

But, the scattering of the disciples would spread the Gospel

to other parts of the world. He told them that they could

ask ANYTHING in His name and that the Father would do it

because they loved Him and believed that He was from God.

He told them this so that they could have peace in the midst

of their tribulation. Jesus bridged the gap between God and

man...Jesus was the only One able to overcome the world

without sinning. Because we believe in Him (trust in, cling

to, rely upon, are consecrated to, and live our lives for Him)

He will be with us so that we, too, can overcome the world,

through Him. Though He is absent in the body, He is very

present in the Spirit and will never leave us alone to fend

for ourselves. In our times of trouble, we can call out to

God and He now hears us and watches over us, all because

of our love for Christ Jesus...
