THEY THAT WAIT UPON THE LORD ...

SHALL RENEW THEIR STRENGTH

THEY SHALL MOUNT UP ...

AS ON EAGLES WINGS ...

Have you ever tried to make something happen out of its proper time? I think we all have! It's EXHAUSTING isn't it? By the time we are finished, we've lost all of our strength. When we find ourselves in this predicament, the best thing to do is to just STOP and wait on the Lord to do it in, through, or for us. Then, we can mount up on His strong wings and see it accomplished effortlessly, as our strength is renewed. To "mount up as on eagle's wings" is to "ride" freely as He does  all the struggling, to "glide" to where He is taking us... Our primary struggle is to completely trust in Him.

A part of our effort is to compel ourselves to wait on Him... to keep ourselves from trying to force things into place. He's told us to "cast all our cares upon Him" hasn't He? I'm seeing that one of my biggest "cares" is myself and my impatience, my worry and unbelief. Oh, Lord, forgive us for not waiting on and trusting in You... Teach us how to wait in faith, Lord!
