Stressing Less

Today is Income Tax filing deadline day, April 15... Many are stressing in an effort to get their taxes filed on time. 
And many are stressing over the amount of taxes they will have to pay.  So we can say that much valuable time will be spent in anxiety today, and next year, today probably won't matter much.

The scriptures compares our time on earth to be as long as the "blinking of the eye"...Not very long in comparison to eternity, or anything else as a matter of fact, is it?  Our time here should be used to prepare ourselves for the hereafter, and not in stressing over our daily lives in the here and now.  Once we have done all we are able to do, Jesus wants us to, "Cast our cares upon Him, for He careth for us."  (1 Peter 5:7)

Since FEAR causes us to do many very unprofitable things like worrying and stressing out, the Word says to "fear not" 366 times ... one for each day (plus one for Leap Year).  The opposite of fear is faith, and without faith it is IMPOSSIBLE to please God.  Keep your eyes on your future...Your future LIFE after you shed this earthly body, and you will stress less.  For the majority of us, the things on earth won't matter in 50 to 60 years.  We'll be
gpne.  What truly matters is that we are prepared and ready to meet the King.  Trust more and stress less!
